In this first of two sessions, we explore how school boards have been thinking about student engagement as we emerge from the pandemic and what high impact strategies are needed to create experiences that deepen students’ learning.

We explore what educators are looking for in their classrooms to be able to identify high impact learning and the type of needs assessment that empower educators to create high impact learning.

In our second of two sessions focusing on student engagement, we engage with educators to deepen our understanding through examples of high impact strategies for student engagement.

We’ll hear from three educators on the learning experiences they have created to empower students with deep learning including what worked, what didn’t work and some of the challenges they’ve experienced and how they adapted.

Thriving in the digital future will include more than just technical skills, our students will also need meaningful opportunities to develop their human skills with social emotional learning. As important as these investments in students, is the investment in our teachers’ wellbeing.

A new kind of pedagogy has emerged as K-12 educators evolve their practice to engage students whether they are face-to-face, fully online or hybrid. This presents an opportunity to reimagine personalized learning, leveraging tools and new kinds of experiences to create more inclusive and accessible learning for all students. When students are engaged in their learning, they are more likely to succeed.

In this session, we explore how personalized learning regardless of the mode of delivery can engage every student and help them find their path to success.

Join two Microsoft Innovative Educators to explore strategies for creating collaborative learning opportunities in your classroom – whether it’s virtual or face-to-face. You’ll learn key activities that can be deployed to engage students using Microsoft Teams and other tools that seamlessly work together to ensure every student can engage.

Teachers and students have been engaged in hybrid learning for almost the entire school year. A positive takeaway from this past year is that we’ve all learned a lot about the possibilities of this form of learning. In this session, please join us to explore how we can continue to embed what’s worked well about hybrid learning and the ways we can continue to evolve the student experience to create more engaging opportunities.
