Microsoft Ireland Work Trend Index 2023
A key theme emerging from the research is the struggle among workers to keep up with the growing pace of work. Workers highlighted that finding focus time (49%), having enough time to keep up with their tasks (55%), too many meetings (35%) and spending too much time searching for data (42%) were the key challenges impacting productivity and creating a sense of pressure in the last 12 months. Many also struggled with being assessed on the number of tasks completed during the workday as opposed to being measured by their impact (43%). Ultimately, these challenges can be linked to a sense of burnout among almost half of the workers who responded (45%).
