The rapid adoption of AI in the workplace is making higher specification workforce technology and digital upskilling key to attracting and retaining talent. For IT decision makers (ITDMs), this is creating an urgent imperative to prioritise and provide the right AI-ready PCs and other work devices, as well as the training and skills staff need to use them effectively. Empowering staff in this way is proving especially important for keeping younger generations engaged and excited about the future of their career.

Given these challenges, it’s both important and useful to understand the views of IT leaders in this current environment, and how prepared they feel their organisation’s current device portfolios are to support staff adoption of AI. It is equally important to develop a better understanding of the needs and expectations of staff themselves, especially the current and future Gen Z workforce. As such, this research was commissioned in partnership with YouGov, surveying more than 1,000 UK employees and over 600 UK IT Decision Makers to gather their views around  these urgent issues.
