Azure Business Lead – Microsoft Middle East & Africa HQ

Julien Bertin is the Azure Business Lead for Microsoft, Middle East and Africa. His organization is responsible for engaging Customers and Partners across the region assisting them with their unique IT ambitions and desires to migrate to the Cloud. In his previous roles, he was regional Managing Director at SAP and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. Julien holds a Mathematics degree from Northumbria University and a Master of Science in Space Sciences from the Open University. He has also completed Accelerated Development of Talented Directors Program from Harvard Business School.

Anna Hoffman

Data & Applied Scientist - Microsoft Corporate HQ

Anna Hoffman is a Data & Applied Scientist on the Azure Data team at Microsoft. Anna has worked in Microsoft Research, AI Engineering, and Microsoft Services in her time at Microsoft. Anna spent several years working on .NET, Python, R, and Java, working to democratize AI via tools and services like Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, and SQL Server (Machine Learning Services and Big Data Clusters). She now spends most of her time working on the Azure SQL product team and participating in the community. Anna has an undergraduate Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, and is wrapping up a Master of Science in Analytics, also at Georgia Institute of Technology (always learning). Piyush Bharti

Data and AI Lead - Microsoft Middle East & Africa HQ

Piyush Bharti has over 18 years' experience in the IT sector having held senior roles in technology consulting, professional services, sales and marketing leadership positions. He’s been with Microsoft for over two years, and currently leads Microsoft’s Data & AI go to market and sales strategy for Middle East and Africa. His remit is to drive digital transformation through Data and Artificial Intelligence at customers through a large and diverse partner network. Prior to joining Microsoft, Piyush was involved in a start-up venture, inQuba, a proudly South African company focusing on insights driven dynamic customer experience and engagement consulting and solutions, and grew the business from being a start up to a global business with offices and customers in USA, Australia, UK and South Africa. Piyush hold an MBA from London Business School and Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology – Allahabad – India and is based in Johannesburg.
