Minoru Hanamura

As the Chief Security Advisor (CSA) for Microsoft Asia’s Cybersecurity Solutions Group (CSG), Minoru Hanamura leads Microsoft’s initiatives and operations to provide thought leadership and strategic direction on the development of Microsoft security products and services, as well as maintain deep customer and partner engagement across Japan, Korea, and the Greater China Region. He consults with governments, critical infrastructure organizations and enterprises across the region to enable them to secure corporate data and manage risk while taking advantage of the opportunities presented by today’s intelligent cloud, intelligent edge world.

Prior to his current role, Minoru was with the Cybersecurity Solutions Group focused on empowering Japanese enterprises to confidently move to the cloud and modernize their platforms by delivering the security solutions, expertise and services needed to keep their infrastructure & information safe.

A technology industry veteran, before joining Microsoft, Minoru was the Senior Business Development Manager with EMC Japan’s RSA Security division where he served as an evangelist in Fraud Risk Intelligence and a subject matter expert on fraud trends and the cybercrime underground market. He has also held key technical positions at several technology multinational corporations in Japan, including Dell, IBM and Intel.

Minoru graduated from the University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo, Japan, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management in Philadelphia, United States. He also holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Fraud Examiner(CFE) certifications.


Abbas Kudrati

Abbas Kudrati, a long-time cybersecurity practitioner and CISO, is Microsoft Asia’s Lead Chief Cybersecurity Advisor for the Cybersecurity Solutions Group. In addition to his work at Microsoft, he serves as an executive advisor to Deakin University, LaTrobe University, HITRUST ASIA, EC Council ASEAN and to several security and technology start-ups. He supports the broader security community through his work with ISACA Chapters and student’s mentorship.

He is also a part time Industry Professor with Deakin University and regular speaker on cybersecurity, cloud security, governance, risk and compliance.

Harry Pun

Harry serves as Cybersecurity Executive in Microsoft for Greater China Region. Harry brings with him more than 20 years of experience in IT and Information Security including solution selling and consultancy in the Greater China region. Prior to his current role, Harry was Director, Cyber Security of Singtel. He was responsible for managing overall Cyber Security business in Hong Kong. Harry also held several key positions with a variety of IT vendors including Dimension Data, NTT Security, Verizon Terremark and Symantec.

Harry holds Master degree and Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP). In security community, Harry is Deputy-Chairman (Hong Kong) of Cloud Security Alliance (Hong Kong & Macau Chapter).
