Learnings from Fraser Health’s Virtual Care Pilot with Mental Health Services

On Demand

Mental health and addiction issues are a burgeoning crisis in many communities. An estimated 1 in 5 Canadians are affected by a mental illness or addiction problem every year.1 Hospitals are adopting virtual technologies to improve access to high-quality care, connect underserved communities, and scale evidence-based practices across their networks.

In the recent past, Frazer Health Authority deployed a successful virtual care pilot program with two virtual care clinics that offer outpatient psychiatry, adolescent consults, neurology and geriatric care. In just six months, the pilot program has achieved the following:

  • Increased efficiency – reductions in data entry for appointment bookings
  • Seamless intake – online and pre-filled forms reduce barriers
  • Better coordination of care – 20+ service teams onboarded
  • High volume of completed sessions – time savings for patients and providers
  • High satisfaction rates – over 90 per cent on follow-up surveys

Join us for this session to hear from prominent speakers from both, Fraser Health and Dapasoft/Calian and learn about program management, pilot KPIs, technology requirements, and expansion plans for this effective virtual care program.
