Digital Defenders:
Let’s talk next gen Cyber Defence

According to the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Annual Threat Report for 2021, the increase in cybercrime reports equates to one report every 8 minutes compared to one every 10 minutes last financial year. The ACSC also notes that there has been more than $33 billion AUD in self-reported losses from cybercrime with more than 75 per cent of pandemic-related cybercrimes resulting in lose of money or personal information.

Microsoft’s Digital Defence Report for 2021 shows that cyber security incidents are increasing in both intensity and volume. Unfortunately, security attacks are inevitable, and organisations need to have the right monitoring and detections in place. This includes the right technology, well-trained people, and clear processes.

In our Digital Defenders series, we sit down with special guests and expert incident responders across the industry to discuss the challenges businesses have faced.
